Singapore Polytechnic and Thu Duc College of Technology had a successful collaboration in December 2010, in which SP students shared digital media and software skills with the Vietnamese students from TDC. SP would like to continue this meaningful and beneficial collaboration with TDC again in December 2013 by sending another group of SP students to conduct a second technology transfer session to the TDC students.

The SP group would consist of two lecturers and 16 students from the SP school of Digital Media and Infocom Technology (DMIT). The group would stay in Vietnam from 08 Decembr 2013 to 19 December 2013, and conduct digital media technology sharing sessions for the TDC experience cultural exchange and cross – country teamwork as they work on the group projects designed by the SP lecturers. The students of the two institutions would also visit historical and cultural sites in Vietnam together, to take photographs and film video footage that would be used in their projects. At the end of the programme, the Vietnamese and Singapore students would conduct presentations to showcase their completed projects.

Besides the sharing sessions, the Singapore project team would also be performing overseas community service with the Vietnamese students. They would be visiting the Theater Artists Nursing Home with the Vietnamese students on 15 December with activities such as a Singapore food – tasting session, handicraft making session ect…
