On October 26, the ceremony to award Certificate IV (CIV) within the framework of the cooperation program between Department of Education and Training Ho Chi Minh City (DOET), Ministry of Education and New South Wales State Community (Australia) and EMG Education (briefly called TAFE-NSW Project) was held at Department of Education and Training Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Nguyen Thị Ly – the college’s President and seven lecturers of the college attended the ceremony.
The TAFE Project was conducted according to the document no. 4756/UBND-VX dated September 19, 2014 of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City about implementing the project on vocational training with the support of TAFE NSW to innovate the training and promote the international integration process of colleges and vocational schools in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, the project enabled the lecturers to access the advanced programs, contents and training methods of Australia, meeting the requirements to develop the education and training in the new stage and equipping lecturers with vocational teaching and assessment method. Thu Duc College of Technology is among the three schools that were chosen to participate in the project in such majors as Information Technology, Tourism and Tourism Management.
Among ten lecturers of the college who had attended the course, seven lecturers were awarded Certificate IV. This Certificate was awarded to lecturers who had the IELTS score of 5.5 and received good feedback from the course.
