On November 17, the leaders of Thu Duc College of Technology welcomed Mr. Hoang Ngoc Vinh – Former General Director of Department of Vocational Education, MOET, Mr. Stéphan Plumat – APEFE Director and Mr. Luc Moitroux – Administrator of REG100 APEFE Program to visit the college. This is an occasion for the two parties to jointly assess and review the implementation of the ability approach method in vocational training within the framework of REG100 Project (the training project linked to the needs of the labor market) that Thu Duc College of Technology has participated in the past 05 years.

REG100 is a training project that follows the ability approach method, which is in the cooperation program about developing vocational education among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia under the support of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), Association for the Promotion of Education and Training Abroad, Belgium (APEFE) and Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI). Thu Duc College of Technology is one of the four schools in the country that carry out the pilot training of this model in two majors: Supermarket Management and Logistics Management.

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Vinh, Mr. Stéphan Plumat and Mr. Luc Moitroux sent their compliments to the lecturers of the college who participated in the project, and expressed their thanks to the college’s leaders for their support so that the project can successfully finish. After 05 years of implementation, the project has some remarkable achievements: high rate of employment of graduates, the spread and influence of the ability approach method to other fields and majors, the close connection among schools in the project, etc. The project also opens new opportunities for cooperation with other international partners after its effectiveness has been confirmed.
