From September 8 to 12, 2025, Thu Duc College of Technology (TDC) conducted the Orientation Week for the incoming Class of 2025. This program serves as the inaugural event, officially marking the commencement of the academic year for new students at their TDC community.

Overview of the Orientation Week for the Class of 2025

In the opening speech to welcome incoming students of the Faculty of Economics given on Moday morning, September 8th , Phạm Hữu Lộc (Meritorious Teacher-PhD), Principal of the institution, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the freshmen as they officially commenced this significant new chapter. The Principal also expressed his confidence that, with a spirit of diligence, creativity, and proactivity, in companionship with faculty members, peers, and industry partners, the students will forge new and proud achievements at TDC. He concluded by imparting five earnest pieces of advice:

  • Engage proactively in your studies;
  • Develop professionalism and workplace discipline;
  • Maintain integrity, ethical conduct, and personal character;
  • Utilize the strengths of your respective faculty;
  • Actively participate in activities organized by the Youth Union, Student Association, and clubs to enhance your skills.

Orientation Education Week for New Students will include the following seven main sessions:

  1. Meeting and Congratulations from the University Leadership
  2. Introduction to the Academic Regulations for the 2025–2026 Academic Year and Graduation Requirements
  3. Overview of Student Affairs Regulations for the 2025–2026 Academic Year (This session covers the evaluation of student conduct, policies on student welfare, scholarships, and related support mechanisms.)
  4. Ensuring Political Security, Campus Safety, and Compliance with Legal Regulations
  5. Guidance on Utilizing the University’s Digital Library Resources
  6. Introduction to Youth Union, Student Association Activities, and Campus Youth Movements
  7. In-depth Session with Faculty Leadership and Academic Advisors (Opportunities for students to learn about their specific academic programs, career orientation, and to network with faculty, industry partners, and alumni.)

This year, the Orientation Education Week for new students has been carefully designed to include a variety of fresh and diverse topics, reflecting current and relevant issues that correspond with the ongoing developments in society and the interests of the younger generation. Through these sessions, the program seeks to inspire and foster the dynamic and creative spirit of each student within their new academic environment.

At the conclusion of the Orientation Education Week, new students will complete an evaluation assignment to have their conduct scores recorded for both semesters.
